AASTRIKA SPHERE
Aastrika Sphere is a free to use e-learning platform for the maternal health ecosystem, built in collaboration with a range of partners. It hosts several online courses for healthcare professionals to enhance their skills. The platform with advanced features will eventually also host courses for mothers and families.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT
We partner with entities that work on delivering high quality, respectful maternity care. After due process, selected organisations and institutions are offered corporate social responsibility grants and donations.

OUR ENGAGEMENTS
We commissioned a public report “Landscape Study on Quality and Respectful Maternity Care in India”, in collaboration with Sattva Media Consulting Pvt. Ltd.
During the COVID 19 pandemic, we donated PPE (personal protective equipment) kits to the Health Department of the Government of Karnataka, to be used in maternity wards.
To educate and build awareness on high quality, respectful maternity care in India, we awarded a grant to Bangalore Birth Network towards outreach, communication, and advocacy initiatives.
Aastrika is a Technology Partner for the Community of Practice for Point of Care Quality Improvement established by the National Quality of Care Network (NQOCN POCQI COP). In this Community of Practice, we work to disseminate knowledge and implement quality improvement initiatives in maternity care and other healthcare services.
OUR RESEARCH
In a research partnership with the University of Gothenburg, Sweden,
we are studying the implementation of professional midwifery in India, including midwifery education, capacity-building initiatives, midwife-led care units, and acceptance of midwifery.
