Respectful Maternity Care (RMC)

Freedom | Maternal health outcomes | Midwifery

Respectful Maternity Care (RMC) is defined as care that maintains dignity, privacy, and confidentiality of pregnant and birthing women, ensures freedom from harm and mistreatment, and enables informed choice and continuous support during labour and birth

Introduction to Evidence-Based Practice (EBP)

Clinical Practice | Patient Values | Staff Nurses

Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) integrates research, clinical expertise, and patient values to improve healthcare. Barriers like time constraints and resistance hinder its adoption. Aastrika Foundation offers training to help providers apply EBP in areas like episiotomy and VBAC.

Introduction to Active Birth

Childbirth Experiences | Active Birthing | Pain Relief

A growing body of evidence points to the positive correlation between mobility and upright positions during labour, and increased positive childbirth experiences, perceptions of childbirth as less traumatic, and increased comfort levels.

Biomechanics for Birth

Normal Pregnancy | Choices and Decisions | Normal Labour

Aastrika Sphere, in collaboration with NHSRC, developed digital courses on Ayushman Bharat's Expanded Service Care Packages for ASHAs and MPWs. These self-paced courses are accessible in Hindi and English on any device.

Rebozo for Birth

Rebozo technique | Fetal positioning | Birth outcomes

Learn the Rebozo technique to ease labor and support optimal fetal positioning. Hands-on training to manage malpositions like OP and asynclitism. Enhance birth outcomes and refine your childbirth practice.

Vaginal Breech Birth

Breech | Cephalic | Physiological Breech Birth

Breech presentation in pregnancy occurs when a baby presents with the buttocks or feet rather than the head first (cephalic presentation) and is associated with increased morbidity and mortality for both the mother and the baby.
