Rebozo for Birth

Description:

Rebozo is a traditional Mexican technique that has increasingly been used in pregnancy and birth. This method primarily uses a special long shawl made of cotton fabric to help the woman feel more comfortable during labour. 1 Evidence also shows that the rebozo technique when used during labour and birth, helps in decreasing the pain because it can promote optimal fetal positioning. In addition, the rebozo technique helps women feel more in control of their labour, thus, increasing the likelihood of having a positive birth experience. The workshop focuses on the various rebozo techniques, along with the knowledge and skills about when and how to use it during pregnancy and labour.
