Jyoti is a Public Health Professional. She has spent the last 6 years in various roles with both Government and international NGOs as well as private organisations.
Jyoti is an alumnus of TISS, Mumbai and has worked as a Consultant at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Delhi taking charge of monitoring, evaluation and supportive supervision of various health programs running under the Government of India.
She was also a key member in conceptualising national guidelines for Comprehensive Abortion Care, Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, Anemia Mukt Bharat, JSSK Dietery Norms and LaQshya.
Sarvesh is an Engineer turned Development Professional who builds bridges between “doing good” and “doing business” and believes in the power of this combination. He has over 5 years of experience in the social sector working in organisations like Oxfam India and Greenpeace India in the space of fundraising, CSR, and building strategic partnerships. He is an alumnus of the Indian School of Development Management and is passionate about enabling collective social impact to create transformative change in society.
Rachana comes with three years of experience in the development sector with rich field research and content curation skills. She holds a MA in Development (Azim Premji University) and a BA in Economics. Her undivided interest in the domain of maternal health brought her to Aastrika. Rachana comes with an understanding and experience of Societal Platform Thinking, Design Thinking, designing, and curating contextual scalable solutions that are easily consumable. Rachana is also a professional dancer and sings as well.
Ruchita Umesh Chandra is a curious mind with a passion for achieving positive outcomes for the community.
Primarily a graduate in Business, Accounting, and Law, Ruchi’s journey into community-focused work stems from a deep-rooted belief in holistic support and empowerment. She holds a Master of Accounting and Law from Deakin University (Melbourne, Australia) and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Centre for Management Studies, Jain University (Bangalore, India).
Over the past four years, she has worked across the Australian not-for-profit and education sectors, offering emotional and operational support to individuals and families navigating complex circumstances. Her experience spans client intake, stakeholder management, student engagement, and frontline community service, with a notable contribution to organisations like Redkite, Monash University, and CISVIC.
Ruchi brings empathy, structure, and adaptability to every role she takes on, complemented by training in trauma-informed practice, grief support, and client advocacy.
Beyond work, she is an enthusiastic volunteer, a self-declared Kitkat connoisseur, and a hobby hunter constantly in search of her next creative pursuit.
